A walk with Merice

October 6th, 2012

A little bit about Merice...

I became involved with the art world through my husband Glenn Marshall watercolourist in 2003.
I had my first public show in May 2005, and in October that year became first ever photographer to be accepted to exhibit with "Leeds Fine Artists"...

Merice Ewart Marshall - LFA

When I work with my camera I am reminded that the world is a wonderful place. I begin to put a picture together in my mind composed of mood emotion and light. I try to feel the energy and nature of the landscape that surrounds me.

I am filled with a grateful heart to live and work in an area that I love so much. When people see my work, I'd like them to feel the romantic nature of the scene I am trying to portray. I want the viewer to walk into the scene and explore it as I have done.

I feel privileged to have been accepted in 2005 by “Leeds Fine Artist “thus becoming their first ever exhibiting photographer.
I have experimented with Photoshop manipulations and produced and sold many unusual pieces of work.
While still walking down this path however I have recently returned to landscapes, seascapes and trees-scapes the beauty of nature surrounding me in my beloved Yorkshire which is my passion.!

Being 62 and (receiving a pension) gives me more time to experiment. I am striving always to improve to perfect my work.
I am happy to accept commission work. I can be contacted at our home in Sewerby where I now produces and exhibits my work...

It is my Intention through this blog to give my followers and insight into "The three Yorkshire Ridings"
